Grass-fed beef from the other side of the fence.
Cooking Tips
Grass-fed beef requires a little extra care in cooking because it is extremely low in fat, but a few simple rules make it easy to have a delicious result.
- Do use olive or other oil when cooking to enhance flavor and browning.
- Do use your favorite marinades or rubs before cooking
- Do pre-heat your grill or pan before adding the meat
- Do use lower cooking temperatures and shorter cooking times
- Do use a meat thermometer
- Don't use a fork to turn the meat during cooking (use tongs to keep the juices in)
- Don't thaw grass-fed beef in the microwave (thaw overnight in the refrigerator)
